Job Description:

  1. To assist the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge of the workplace to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes therein;
  2. To recommend to the occupier of the workplace or other in charge of the workplace reasonably practicable measures;
  3. To recommend on minimizing the risk, and safe work procedures to control the risk;
  4. To assist in implementing the measures or safe work procedures;
  5. To investigate any incidents/accidents and advise on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent any recurrence;
  6. To work closely with the relevant authorities on safety and health matters;
  7. To administer and implement an effective Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) in accordance with prevailing legislation and preparation for third-party external safety audit;
  8. Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety Audits as per requirements;
  9. Making certain that all ordinances or orders bearing on occupational safety and health and environmental are complied with local laws;
  10. To prepare and conduct the EHS training for all employees which are identified in RA and SWP;
  11. Measure and monitor the WSH performance of the project and discuss WSH performance in the WHS committee meetings;
  12. Perform ECO duties as assigned; and
  13. Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as your superior/management deem fit.

Job Requirements:

  1. Possess at least a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Workplace safety and health (WSH)-related and certificate in ECO;
  2. At least 3 years of work experience relevant to the work to be carried out by a WSHO cum ECO; and
  3. MOM registered WSH Officer and NEA registered ECO.
